A Fundraiser for Sonoma County Pride

The Sonoma County Pride Planning Committee presents this very special event to raise funds for the 2010 Sonoma County Pride celebration. The fundraising event will be held at Buck’s Restaurant and features music and dancing, a silent auction, and other entertainment.
Entertainment gets going at 8pm and will include performances by Tex-Mex 1950’s Groove Band, Polkanomics, and you’d better bring your dancing shoes ‘cuz the Polkanomics know how to get you out on the dance floor! The Everlovin’ Jam Band will follow the “Polkies” with a jam session with guitars, banjos and vocals. Come early to enjoy Buck’s Valentine Prix Fixe Menu reasonably priced at $34-45 per person with a choice of entrees: Lobster, Filet Mignon, Rack of Lamb. The prix fixe menu includes a starter, entree, desert & champagne. Buck’s Restaurant is located at 16440 4th Street in Guerneville.
The "Sonoma County Pride Valentine’s Dance" also represents an opportunity to inform the community of the return of Sonoma County Pride events to Guerneville for the second year in a row. The Pride Parade and Celebration in 2009 was very well attended with an estimated 5000 on-lookers and participants, and the Pride Committee expects the crowds to be even larger in 2010. This year the week-long celebration will be launched on June 6th with a Pride Parade down Main Street beginning at high noon and be followed by an LGBT Festival on the grounds of Guerneville Lodge from 1-6 pm. A host of other Pride related events & parties will be happening throughout the week and around Sonoma County, including the 16th Annual Pride Comedy Night starring Vickie Shaw and Daniel Leary at the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts on June 12th and an Interfaith Service on June 13th. The theme selected for Sonoma County Pride 2010 is “Sonoma County Pride is SO Gay!”
Tickets for "Sonoma County Pride Valentine’s Dance" may only be purchased at the door on a sliding scale of $5-10 per adult. All proceeds from the door, auction and the raffle will benefit the 2010 Pride Celebration.
